98 Degrees (stylized as 98°) is an R&B vocal group formed by Jeff Timmons in 1998 in Los Angeles, California, with members Justin Jeffre and brothers Nick and Drew Lachey. From 1997 to 2002, the group sold 10 million records worldwide and scored several chart-topping songs, including “Because of You,” “The Hardest Thing,” and “Thank God I Found You,” which featured Mariah Carey and Joe. After a hiatus from 2003 to 2012, the group began regular performances and has since released two studio albums—2.0 in 2013 and Let It Snow in 2017.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

98 Degrees first performed at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1998, appearing on the Mr. Peanut’s Circus float from the Planters Company. The group performed their platinum-certified single, “Because of You,” among the float’s elephants, clown kids, and performing seals.

In 1999, 98 Degrees returned to the Parade lineup on OshKosh B’Gosh’s Santaland Express & Coal Car, a recreation of a vintage locomotive. The group performed their first single from their third studio album, This Gift.

Following their decade-long hiatus, 98 Degrees made their third and most recent Parade appearance in the 2017 Parade. The group appeared Hallmark Channel’s Heartwarming Holiday Countdown float and performed “Season of Love” from their newest Christmas album, Let It Snow.
