AJR is an indie pop trio consisting of brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan Metzger. The trio formed in 2005, and based the band's name on the first initial of the three brothers names, Adam, Jack and Ryan. The band is notable for writing, producing and mixing their music in the living room of their New York City apartment.[1] The group's most popular songs include "Bang!," "100 Bad Days," "Sober Up" and "Burn Down the House."
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the trio has performed an array of virtual and drive-in concerts in lieu of their originally scheduled performances.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
AJR made their Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade debut in the re-imagined 2020 Parade, performing on the Splashing Safari Adventure float from Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. The trio served as a replacement for Jordin Sparks, who was initially scheduled to appear on the float but was removed days before the Parade. The group performed their hit song "Bang!", helping the song to reach #1 on the iTunes sales chart in the United States.[2]
