Annabelle's Wish is a 1997 American animated Christmas film that revolves around a young calf who aspires to learn to fly and become one of Santa Claus' reindeer. It is narrated by American country singer Randy Travis and stars veteran voice actress Kath Soucie. Hallmark Home Entertainment released the film to video on October 21, 1997, followed by a television broadcast later that year on Fox.
History with the Macy's Parade
The Annabelle's Wish float first appeared in the 1997 Parade to help promote the television broadcast of the special, which was to air three days after Thanksgiving 1997. The float featured a wooden barn with a sculpture of the film's title character, Annabelle, perched
high upon the roof. Below, many children dressed as farmers wave from the float and escort it en route. This float was retired after the 1998 Parade and was later recycled into the Peeps float in 2003.
