Austin Powers is a series of American spy action comedy films: Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) and Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002). History with the Macy's Parade[]
Although the Austin Powers films have had been popular throughout many years, the Macy's Parade has only housed one float based on the franchise. The float features a colorful clock tower - which was recycled from the 101 Dalmatians float in 1996, which itself was refurbished from 1982's Cinderella's Clock Tower float - and various dancers dressed in flashy attire, to match with the film's 1960s aesthetic. At the front of the float, Verne Troyer, who played Mini-Me in the films, sat in his throne.
The float was retired after the 1999 Parade and was later recycled into the A Christmas Carol float in 2002.
