The Aviator Clowns are a clown unit from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Aviator Clowns debuted in the 2019 Macy's Parade, taking off down the Parade route with the procession's iconic balloons. As part of the 34th Division of Macy's Aces, the clown's attire mirror that of a turn-of-the-century pilot with beige coveralls, red-and-white striped scarfs, bicycle horns, and aviator caps and goggles.
In 2020, the clown unit was planned to appear in that year's reimagined event with masks and usual their sky-high excitement. However, the unit was cut from the finalized lineup as a result of participant reduction to combat rising cases of COVID-19.
The Aviator Clowns returned to the full-scale 2021 Parade, and appeared once more in 2022.
