Benny Goodman (May 30th, 1909 – June 13th, 1986) was an American clarinetist and bandleader known as the "King of Swing". From 1936 until the mid-1940's, Goodman led one of the most popular swing big bands in the United States. His bands started the careers of many jazz musicians and during an era of racial segregation, he led one of the first integrated jazz groups as his trio and quartet. Some of his other popular songs and instrumental compositions include "Sing, Sing, Sing", "Lullaby in Rhythm," "Don't Be That Way," "Seven Come Eleven," "Flying Home," "Two O'Clock Jump," "Air Mail Special," "Dizzy Spells," "If Dreams Come True," "Georgia Jubilee," "Four Once More," and "The Kingdom of Swing".
