Cabbage Patch Kids are a line of soft sculptured toy doll like creatures sold by Xavier Roberts and registered in the United States copyright office in 1978. The doll brand was one of the most popular toy fads of the 1980s and one of the longest-running doll franchises in the United States.

History with the Macy's Parade

The Cabbage Patch Kids made their Macy's Parade debut with a brand-new float in 1984. The float featured a treehouse with many Cabbage Patch Kids walkarounds. This float became a crowd-pleaser until being retired after 1986. The following year, the Cabbage Patch Kids debuted a new float depicting a playground, but was retired shortly afterwards, and hasn't been seen since.
