History with the Macy's Parade[]
The famous Camp Broadway made it's debut in the 76th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. They took a ride on the new Marion-Carole Showboat float with Joey Lawrence and the cast of NBC's American Dreams. When the Showboat arrived in Herald Square, Joey and the kids of Camps Broadway sang the Johnny Mercer classic "Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive."
For their second performance in the 77th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, they paid tribute to the legendary American patriot and comedian Bob Hope, who died at age 100 which was months before the parade. The kids of Camp Broadway were dressed as veteran golf players as they performed an original song titled "When Hope Was There" with the USO Troupe of Metropolitan New York on the Statue of Liberty float.
For their third time in the 78th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, they performed "Walk Like an Egyptian" with 98 Degrees member Jeff Timmons on the new Tutenstein float.
From 2005 to 2007, Camp Broadway would kick off the parade as the opening act. They sang and danced to some of Macy's original performance numbers such as "We Give Thanks Today", "Give Me a Drum", and "Making Magic" which were all written by Andrew Lippa, Michael Feinstein, and William Schermerhorn.
In the 82nd Parade, Camp Broadway with Muppet legend Kermit the Frog would perform the anthem of Macy's 2008 holiday campaign "I Believe" on the brand new Winter Wonderland float.
During the 85th Parade, the theater kids along with YouTuber Savannah Outen would sing "No Place Like Here" on the new "Zhu-niverse" float.
After a five year hiatus, the kids of Camp Broadway would spring back into the lineup at the 91st Macy's Parade and performed the Irving Berlin Classic "This Is a Great Country".
