History with the Macy's Parade[]
Carrie Underwood made her Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade debut in the 2005 Parade, hot off the trails of her American Idol win. Underwood appeared and performed on the "Holiday Lovin' Oven" float, furnished by Pillsbury, which featured the beloved Pillsbury Doughboy surrounded by staples of holiday cooking, rounded out by a larger-than-life holiday lovin' oven.
For her performance in front of Macy's Herald Square, Carrie Underwood sang a rendition of the title song from her new holiday album, Some Hearts. Joining Underwood in the festive song were larger-than-life cookies and pies.
Carrie Underwood then unwrapped some holiday cheer for the 2021 Parade. Making a special appearance on the NBC telecast, she preformed "Favorite Time of Year," a song from her album My Gift (Special Edition) about the festive decorations, sweet treats and more that make the season so magical.
