The Catalina Foothills High School Falcon Band is the marching band of Catalina Foothills High School, located in Tucson, Arizona. Known as the largest marching band in Arizona for the last 20 years, the award-winning Falcon Band has travelled to Europe, China and Australia and have been recognized for their energetic, crowd-pleasing performances.
The band was founded in 1992 with just 17 musicians. That number would soon grow to over 200 musicians by 1998, crowning them as the largest band in all of Arizona, whereas their school is the 64th largest in the state. The school has a strong music program, with 30% of the students enrolled in music classes and programs. In addition to the award-winning Falcon Marching Band, the school also offers a concert band, jazz band, woodwind quintet and percussion ensemble as extra-curricular activities, along with steel drum and guitar classes.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Falcon band first made their debut in the 80th Anniversary Parade and performed "Aaron Copland's Hoedown".
They would return to the big apple in the 2019 Parade and played "Troika".
