History with the Macy's Parade[]
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968)[]
The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang float only appeared in 1968 to help promote the movie. The float was retired after the march.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2004)[]
The musical was represented in the 2004 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with a re-creation of the titular car, ridden by the stars of the Broadway show, Raul Esparza and Erin Dilly. By next year, a performance from the musical itself would be one of the pre-parade acts.
