History with the Macy's Parade[]

Ciara made her first Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade appearance in the 2006 Parade. She appeared and performed on the "Voyage to Adventure" float furnished by Royal Caribbean International, which toured the world and its wonderous structures through a larger-than-life board game.

For the NBC telecast of the famed holiday spectacle, Ciara performed her song "Get Up", from her then-soon-to-be-released album titled Ciara: The Evolution. Joining the R&B singer was the Royal Caribbean Singers and Dancers, who performed on the cruise line's various ships.

Ciara returned to the lineup 13 years later for the 2019 Macy's Parade. For this appearance, Ciara donned a red-clad outfit as she waved to her fans from the "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" float, based on the Nickelodeon animated series of the same name.

During her appearance on the Parade's NBC telecast, Ciara performed "Melanin", an empowering single with an inspirational message of self-love, and "Level Up", a song about empowerment and growth from her studio album Beauty Marks. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themselves; Ralph, Leo, Donnie and Mikey, all appeared on the float and danced along to the upbeat music.

Debbie Gibson, who co-hosted Nickelodeon's America's Most Musical Family alongside Ciara and David Dobrik, also made an appearance in the 2019 procession, riding on the Shimmer and Shine float.
