Darius Rucker is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He is perhaps best known for being the lead vocalist of rock band Hootie & the Blowfish, which he founded in 1986 alongside Mark Bryan, Jim "Soni" Sonfield, and Dean Felber. Rucker co-wrote most of the songs with other members of the band, releasing five studio albums and charting six top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Rucker left the group in 2008, focusing on his solo country music career, finding newfound success with hits such as "Wagon Wheel" (for which he won a Grammy), "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," and "Homegrown Honey."
