Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Wiki

The Dogwalker Clowns are a clown unit from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

The Uptown Doggie Walkers made their debut in the 1994 Parade, taking their invisible dogs on a Thanksgiving morning stroll through Manhattan while avoiding the Dog Catcher and his souped-up Catch-O-Matic. The clowns were regular participants in the Parade until 2009, hanging up their leashes after 15 years.

In 2016, a new breed of Dogwalker Clowns—recycled from the Circus Clowns—debuted to accompany Trixie the Bouncing Dog. Nine years later, the group would strap on their walking shoes once more with yet another new look of hula hoop pants and bowler hats; the costumes recycled from the Parade Brigade Clowns.
