Dolly is an original Macy’s character who debuted as a balloon in Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
Dolly made her debut as one of 13 balloons designed exclusively for the 2017 revamp of Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. The balloon depicts the adorable doll, Dolly, swinging and giggling beneath a vintage hot-air balloon. Dolly was one of two balloons in the Toy Unit, alongside The Nutcracker.
In 2020, Dolly was part of Universal’s Holiday Experience featuring Macy’s Balloons, a walk-through attraction that took place of the traditional parade due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dolly made her Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade debut in 2022, flying down the Parade route alongside the Blue Starflake balloons. The balloon was retired from both parades following this appearance.
