The Dronkeys are the children of Dragon and Donkey from the Shrek franchise. There are six Dronkeys at the end of the movie, Dragon arrives, greeting Donkey and behind her came six Dronkeys. Donkey refers to them as his "little mutant babies". They appear in Shrek the Third, Shrek the Halls, and Shrek Forever After. Their names are Debbie, Coco, Bananas, Peanut, Parfait, and Eclair.

The dronkeys are full of character, with a destructive combination of childish energy and the flying and fire breathing abilities of a dragon, there is never a dull moment with the dronkeys.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

The Dronkeys made their Parade debut during the 2017 holiday season, as they appeared in Universal's Holiday Parade Featuring Macy's, in the form of two separate balloons. They were part of the Shrek unit of the Parade, joining the Gingy balloon and three other floats.

The first Dronkey balloon featured a mischievous Dronkey in a holiday predicament -- soaring down the Parade with a wreath stuck around its neck. Trailing close behind is another Dronkey balloon, now wearing a traditional Santa Claus hat.

In addition to appearing as balloons, every holiday season the models used for the creation of the Dronkey balloons are put on display in the windows of the theme park's Macy's store. They are used to show how a balloon goes from a pencil sketch to a larger-than-life icon.

Between November 14th, 2020 and January 3rd, 2021, the Santa Hat Dronkey balloon was on display at Universal's Holiday Experience Featuring Macy's Balloons, a walk-through attraction held in place of the Holiday Parade whilst during the 2020 holiday season.

The two Dronkeys returned flying around their family and friends in 2021 and 2022 Holiday Parade.
