Elko High School is a public secondary school in Elko, Nevada, in the United States. It is part of the Elko County School District.

The school's mascot is the Indian and its colors are maroon and white. Its marching band, the Elko High School Marching Band, is known as the "Pride of Nevada."

History with the Macy's Parade[]

The Band of Indians first marched in the 1979 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but as they entered Herald Square, it came with a very insane twist. The Airplane toy float behind the band started to charge right at them and Ed McMahon came to see what the commotion is as pilots with masks of John Belushi started to line up. It is actually Dianne Kay who just flew in unexpectedly to promote the new comedy 1941 from Universal Pictures which was later released this December. The marching band would resume their positions and performed several funny numbers from jazz to ballroom dancing.

Two decades later, the band would return in the 2000 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and they played the music the west with "Black Saddle".
