The Father Ryan High School Marching Band is the official marching band of the school under the same name in Nashville, Tennessee. The band was known for their unique one-of-a-kind uniforms, mostly inspired by futuristic costumes. The band has placed first in many marching band championships, including over 20 state championships, three WGI percussion ensemble championship titles and a Bands Of America National Regional Championship title, and they are also 7-time Bands Of America regional finalists and 2-time grand national finalists. Additionally, they have participated in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the World Marching Band Championship in Malaysia.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The band first appeared in the 2012 Parade, where they performed Asphalt Cocktail, decked out in futuristic outfits, and in addition to showing off their impressive musical talents, they also amazed the 34th Street crowds with their impressive robot-like movements.
