Fisher-Price is an American company that produces educational toys for children and infants, headquartered in East Aurora, New York. Fisher-Price has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mattel since 1993.
History With the Macy's Parade
Little People Circus Train (1974)
In 1974. Fisher-Price had a float based on the Little People Circus Train Toy. The float retired after the same year and was never seen again.
Magic of Childhood (2004)
In 2004, To Celebrate Fisher-Price's 75th Anniversary. Fisher-Price and the Parade Studio made a brand-new float into the Macy's Parade, recycled from the Reddi-Wip float four years prior. This float was called "Magic of Childhood", and featured many of Fisher-Price's classic toys such as the Chatter Telephone, Rock-A-Stack, and Little People. At the front, a giant inflatable drum held some of the kids on the float, and in the back, a giant Ferris Wheel carrying many Little People appeared next to the Rock-A-Stack. A carousel was featured in the middle, with many giant-sized wooden toys with kids on them. This float was retired after 2006, but the Chatter Telephone still exists in the Float Warehouse as of 2014.
