Fred Travalena (October 6th, 1942 – June 28th, 2009) was an American entertainer, specializing in comedy and impressions.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

Travalena first appeared at the 1988 Parade singing "Beyond the Sea" on Macy's own Rocking Lobster toy float.

He then made his second appearance the very next year at the 1989 Parade and he performed a skit which became very memorable. As seen on the The Saggy Baggy Elephant float, he was dressed as Batman's arch-nemesis, "The Joker" and Travelena impersonated the exact Jack Nicholson version of the character while singing an original number called "The Joker is Me".

For his third time at Herald Square at the 1990 Parade, he performed a silly skit called "Rockin' Nursery Rhymes" on The Candy House float.

He made one final trip down the route on The Herald Square Express Train during the 1991 Parade.
