The Funday Times Press Corp Photographers are a clown unit from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Funday Times Press Corp Photographers debuted in 2014, working overtime on Thanksgiving to capture a gallery of giggles for the Funday Times newspaper. The clowns were modeled after vintage photographers and sported patterned hula hoop pants and bowties, suspenders and bowler hats (both in the Parade’s signature color scheme), oversized press cards, and inflatable cameras.
As an interactive element with the Big Apple float, the clowns also carried signs beckoning spectators to look at the Apple Stem and smile, where a 360-degree panoramic camera took their photo that could be downloaded from macys.com/parade.
The clown reporters only made two appearances and were consequently recycled into the 90th Parade Clowns (later known as the Parade Brigade Clowns).
