The Garriage is a specialty unit from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Garriage made its debut in the 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, in conjunction with the 25th anniversary celebration of the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise. The unit features SpongeBob himself in the driver's seat, while Gary, decked in holiday attire, pulls the bright yellow carriage, which carried Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob who is dressed up as "Patchy the Pirate", SpongeBob's in-universe biggest fan and president of the SpongeBob Fan Club.
After the parade, the Garriage appeared in Bryant Park for photo opportunities and for people to sit in.[1] The Garriage is currently on display at Nickelodeon Universe at the American Dream Mall.
