Georgia-Pacific LLC is an American pulp and paper company based in AtlantaGeorgia, and is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of tissuepulppaper, toilet and paper towel dispensers, packaging, building products and related chemicals. As of Fall 2019, the company employed more than 35,000 people at more than 180 locations in North America, South America and Europe. It is an independently operated and managed company of Koch Industries.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

The company furnished a float for the 2004 Macy's Parade, called "Krazy Kritters", named after the Dixie cups produced by Georgia-Pacific. It featured many animals such as Dunk the Hippo, who is "bonkers about bathing" and Cheeky the Monkey, who is the life of the party animals, and love going ape on the bongos. Joining Dunk and Cheeky, an elephant, a lion, a bear, and a giraffe decorate the float. These animals all had a very cartoon-ish style. At the back, a giant sign that said "Welcome" sat in front of a smoking volcano. Various palm trees decorated the float as well. The float was escorted by people dressed as various sea creatures, and the Seahorse costumes are still used as clown costumes for the Silly Seaside Clowns as of 2019. This float was retired after the 2005 Parade. The float made its last public appearance at the 2006 Macy's Flower Show.
