The Half-Baked Delivery Truck is a clown car from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Half-Baked Delivery Truck made its inaugural appearance in the 2016 Parade, as a brand-new clown car made especially for the Half-Baked Holiday Clowns.
However, the clown car ended up breaking down just one block away from its NBC telecast appearance, and was quickly removed from the line of march. It would eventually make its proper Herald Square debut the following year, in 2017, and has since become a Parade staple.
The clown car did not appear in the reimagined 2020 Parade, as COVID-19 restrictions caused the number of participants in the Parade to be scaled down by 88%.
The Half-Baked Delivery Truck made its return in the 2021 Parade, and has stayed in the parade ever since.
During the 2023 procession, the Delivery Truck stalled near 72nd Street and was unable to rejoin its group. It was eventually pulled from the lineup. It would also be pulled from the lineup the following year hours before the Parade.
