Harry Blackstone Jr. (June 30th, 1934 – May 14th, 1997) was an American stage magician, author, and television performer. who has an estimated record of pulling 80,000 rabbits from his sleeves and hats. He received the Magician of the Year Award in 1979 and in 1985, and he also appeared as a guest on TV including The Tonight Show, Donahue, The Today Show, and The Super Mario Bros. Super Show. His performances were also a regular feature in the Square One Television series on PBS.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
He first brought his magical act during the 1979 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and he would return for one final time at the Parade's 65th Anniversary in 1991. For the latter year, he took part in the telecast's intro as well as competing against Willard Scott with several of his magic tricks while Kelsey Grammar performed with The NCA Superstar Dance Team as part of the finale to the Pre-Parade show.
