The Holiday Lanes Bowling League is a clown unit from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Holiday Lanes Bowling League made their debut in the 1993 Parade, featuring a gaggle of clowns dressed as bowling pins. Along the route, the clown unit would perform a slapstick scenario of being bowled over by a larger-than-life "bowling ball" (a black yoga ball). The clowns appeared in nearly every Macy's Parade over the next decade, missing only one appearance in 2002. Following the 2007 Parade, the clown group was retired.
