Holland America is an American cruise line and subsidiary of British-American cruise operator Carnival Corporation. The cruise line was founded in Rotterdam, Netherlands in 1873, originally known as the Netherlands-America Steamship Company, operating as a transatlantic passenger and cargo service up until 1971. In 1989, the line was bought by Carnival Corporation, who currently still owns the line.

Today, Holland America is headquartered in Seattle, Washington. The line is a major operator of cruises and tours through Alaska, and the company owns many hotels and two railroads located throughout the state of Alaska. Holland America also offers an world cruise, which the line hosts annually, and cruises throughout the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, South America, and Antarctica.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

Following a garden partnership at the Macy's Flower Show, Holland America announced that it would participate in the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Titled "The Land of Ice and Wonder," the float features largest kinetic sculpture in the Parade’s history and honors the natural beauty of Alaska.
