The Inflatable Elephants are a specialty unit from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
History with Macy's Parade[]
The Inflatable Elephants made their first appearance in the 2004 Parade, paying homage to their real-life ancestors who marched in the first-ever Macy's Christmas Parade in 1924. The lumbering pachyderms migrated their way down Broadway with the help of their Ringleader escorts. The following year, the Elephants returned and appeared alongside their perfect holiday gnash, the Planters Nut Mobile. In 2006, the Inflatable Elephants made their final appearance to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Macy's Parade.
Following their appearance in the Parade, the Inflatable Elephants strolled south for the winter to Universal Orlando Resort, where they greeted park guests during the annual run of Macy's Holiday Parade.
