Jax (born May 5, 1996) is a soul-pop singer and songwriter who rose to fame after placing third in the 14th season of American Idol. Her first single, “Forcefield,” was released in 2016 and was followed by “La La Land,” which dealt with her experience on the show.[1] Jax released “Victoria’s Secret,” an ode to body positivity and anti-bullying, on TikTok in 2022, which charted at number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song went viral on the platform, leading to her winning the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Award for TikTok Songwriter of the Year and Best New Pop Artist.[2]

History with the Macy's Parade[]

Jax made her Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade debut in 2023. She appeared and performed on the Geoffrey’s Dazzling Dance Party float from Toys”R”Us, which features Geoffrey the Giraffe as the master of ceremonies among a collection of toys, balloons, and a light-up dance floor.

Decked out in a Friends-themed Thanksgiving sweater (paying tribute to the late Matthew Perry)[3], Jax rocked out on NBC's Parade coverage with "Are You Gonna Be My Guy," a gender-swapped rendition of Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl."
