Keke Palmer is an American vocalist, actress and television personality. Palmer's acting career first took off at the age of 12 after the release of the 2006 film, Akeelah and the Bee, which won Palmer a Chicago Film Critics Association Award and a Young Artist Award. Palmer continued to appear in various other films, later releasing her debut studio album, titled So Uncool, in 2007. Palmer's recent credits include voice acting for Maya in The Proud Family on Disney+, hosting the 2020 MTV VMA Awards and being an Emmy-nominated co-host on the GMA3: Strahan, Sara and Keke morning show.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

Keke Palmer made her Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade debut in the 2009 Parade, appearing and performing atop Build-A-Bear Workshop's "International Cele-Bear-Ation Clock Tower" float The young actress and songstress performed a rendition of her hit single, "Top of the World" on the Parade's NBC telecast, with background choreograph performed by two dancers.

Palmer returned to the line of march for the reimagined 2020 Parade, now appearing aboard the glitz and glamour of Coach's "Rexy in the City" float. Commenting on her performance, Palmer said "It's so good to be out performing, especially during these times when everybody's kind of stuck at home, it's nice to just get a moment where we can enjoy each other even from afar". Palmer performed a rendition of her song, "Dreamcatcher" from her then-newly released album, Virgo Tendencies Part 1.
