Kelly Rowland is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and television personality. Rowland has been a global pop star since the age of 16, and has topped the music charts as part of Grammy-winning girl group Destiny's Child. She turned that success into an acclaimed solo music career before branching out to acting on TV (Girlfriends, Empire), producing film (Chasing Destiny), judging new talent (The X Factor), writing a book about motherhood (Whoa, Baby!), and more.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
Kelly Rowland made her first appearance in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in the 2019 Parade. For her maiden appearance in the famed holiday spectacle, Rowland appeared and performed on the "Toy House of Marvelous Milestones" float furnished by New York Life, which depicts life's biggest accomplishments such as graduation, marriage and having a baby.
During her appearance on NBC's telecast of the Parade, Rowland sang her recently-released single, "Love You More at Christmas Time", a song that was created to promote Merry Liddle Christmas, a Lifetime holiday film in which Rowland stars in. Surrounding Rowland and providing backup choreography were float escorts dressed as paper dolls, wind-up toys and robots.
Rowland returned to the Macy's Parade in 2021, now appearing on the Christmas in Town Square float from Lifetime, and promoting her upcoming made-for-tv movie, Merry Liddle Christmas Baby. The float depicts a quaint cobblestone main street, charming store fronts, lighted lanterns, twinkling icicle lights, Christmas trees, and lots and lots of snow.
For her second performance on NBC's broadcast of the Parade, Rowland performed "Wonderful Time," a remixed version of the classic Christmas carol, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year."
