Kemp Balloons, Inc. was a balloon manufacturer, who worked for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
History with the Macy's Parade[]
Kemp first paired up with Macy's in 1981, to refurbish all the balloons that were still in the parade (minus the then new Superman balloon.) They would begin creating new balloons in 1982, debuting the Olive Oyl and Woody Woodpecker balloons. This partnership, however, was relatively short-lived, as they split up in 1983, after the creation of the Yogi Bear balloon and only had 3 years of partnership. Raven Aerostar Industries would end up taking their place the following year, handling balloon-making duties from 1984 to 2019.
