Kim Petras (born 27 August 1992) is a German singer/songwriter. The international pop sensation has become one of music’s most buzzed-about talents. A native of Cologne, Germany, she has steadily built a following among the LGBTQ community and beyond with her brand of ’80s-inspired, bubblegum dance pop. Her biggest hits are “‎I Don’t Want It At All” and “Heart to Break,” which reached the Top 40. At the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, Kim had a major moment, becoming its first out transgender performer and wowing audiences with the aptly titled anthem, “Future Starts Now.”

History with the Macy's Parade[]

Kim Petras made her first Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade appearance in 2021, as the first-ever transgender pop star to perform for the world-famous event. Petras appeared and performed on the glitzy and glamourous "Rexy in the City" float from Coach, which features the brand’s iconic dinosaur, Rexy, amidst a glittery, carnival-style version of New York.

Petras sang her smash-hit song "I Don't Want It At All" for NBC's broadcast of the Parade, with choreography by New York-based performance group Boss Kids.

Following the Parade, Petras shared photos of her preparing for the event with People magazine.[1]
