The Lap Dog was an early giant helium character balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The Lap Dog Balloon only appeared in 1929. During the parade, it tore loose from his leash, and the witnesses saw him fly into the sky. The balloon was disposed of after it was found.
