Lifetime is an American basic cable channel that is part of Lifetime Entertainment Services, a subsidiary of A&E Networks, which is jointly owned by Hearst Communications and The Walt Disney Company. It features programming that is geared toward women or features women in lead roles. As of January 2016, it is received by 93.8 million households in America.
History with the Macy's Parade
Lifetime will make their Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade debut in the re-imagined 2020 Parade, being represented by a brand-new float. The "Christmas in Town Square" float depicts a a scene from a holiday movie, the display will transport parade viewers to the romantic setting of so many of their favorite holiday stories. The float features a quaint cobblestone main street, charming store fronts, lighted lanterns, twinkling icicle lights, Christmas trees, and lots and lots of snow. Capping the float is gigantic Christmas ornament which will contain a stage featuring a special performance.
