Little Man-Big Man (also known as The Acrobats) are a pair of balloons originating from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
They were designed by a 12-year old boy named Rudolf Lopez and the balloon pair appeared in 1938 and 1939 processions, and in the Santason Parade from 1939 to 1941, before it was donated for war efforts in World War II.
During the parade, the balloon had to pass through two elevated train tracks. The solution was to flip them on each other's backs, simulating like the performance of a real pair of circus acrobats. Also, they made a cameo with several other Macy's balloons in the 2016 Ghostbusters movie.
