Louis Allen Rawls (December 1st, 1933 – January 6th, 2006) was an American record producer, singer, composer and actor. Rawls released more than 60 albums, sold more than 40 million records, and had numerous charting singles, most notably his popular hit, "You'll Never Find Another Love like Mine". He additionally worked in film, television, and as a voice actor and was also a three-time Grammy-winner, all for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
Rawls first appeared during the 1977 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, singing "Lady Love" on Anheuser-Busch's The Old Country Village float.
He later made his second and last appearance at the 1983 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on another variant of The Old Country float and he sang "Wind Beneath My Wings".
