History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Macy's Hollyday Band Clowns made their debut in the 1996 Parade, marching to the beat of their own drums. The clown unit featured a cavalry of clowns playing musical instruments such as trumpets, tambourines and drums. The clowns also wore a matching marching band uniform, complete with plume hats and golden epaulets.
The Macy's Hollyday Band Clowns would make only one appearance, and were retired following the 1996 procession.
