Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Stars are a pair of novelty balloons from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Stars made their first Parade appearance in 2002, replacing the Macy's 75th Parade Stars from one year earlier. As the name suggests, the balloons were yellow stars which featured a drum variant of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade logo. During all of the balloon's appearances, they lead the Parade alongside a new novelty balloons, such as the Toy Soldier, Uncle Sam, Gorgeous Gobbler and Cloe the Holiday Clown.
During their third appearance in the 2004 Parade, one of the stars failed to make an appearance. The star that was previously M.I.A returned in 2005, and were retired shortly after the aforementioned appearance. The balloons are known to still survive in "Parade Ready" condition at Macy's Parade Studio.
