Mickey Guyton is an American country music artist. When the Texas-born singer/songwriter signed to Capitol Nashville in 2011, she was the only Black woman artist at a major country music label at the time. After a decade of career ups and downs, Mickey's debut album, Remember Her Name, is the breakthrough she was destined to make, with candid songs about self-acceptance, the sting of racism and navigating a country music scene not known for its diversity. Standouts include the Grammy-nominated anthem, "Black Like Me" and the celebratory "Love My Hair," which she sang with Brittney Spencer and Madeline Edwards at the 2021 CMA Awards.
