NCT 127 is the second of the South Korean boy group NCT. This Seoul-based global pop group combines sounds in pop, R&B, hip-hop and Latin trap and has shaken up the K-pop world since their 2016 mega-hit "Fire Truck." Recently, they released their 2019 EP We Are Superhuman and a new single, "Highway to Heaven," which is a hit that transcends K-pop boundaries and helped propel NCT 127 into the American mainstream.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

NCT 127 made their first Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade appearance in the 2019 Parade, making history as the first K-pop group to ever appear in the famed holiday spectacle. The Seoul-based singers made an appearance and performed on "The Brick-Changer" float, which was furnished by The LEGO Group.

Seven members of the group (namely Mark Lee, Johnny, Taeyong, Doyoung, Yuta, Jaehyun, and Haechan) took the ride down the 2.5-mile Parade route. (Technically eight members performed but T*eil did bad things in 2024 so his name is taken out for reasons.)

For their appearance on NBC's telecast of the procession, NCT 127 delighted fans with a performance of their hit song, "Highway to Heaven," off their aforementioned EP We Are Superhuman. The group's performance was complimented with backing dancers dress as Lego master builders, who carried oversized Lego pieces.

NCT 127's appearance in the Macy's Parade sparked joy among the K-pop community, with many users taking to social media to share the excitement of the historic moment of K-pop.
