The Hawaii All-State Marching Band was formed in April 2002 as a special private performing organization. The group is open to representatives from public and private schools that have an instrumental/band music and performing arts program in the state of Hawaii. Over forty different schools usually participate from the islands of O’ahu, Maui, Kaua’i, and the Island of Hawai’i.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Hawaii All-State Marching Band have traveled all this way to perform in the big apple at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. They have marched for three parades in 2005, 2011, and 2016.
It may be possible for the band to return to Macy's for a fourth time as the organization received an invitation for the 2021 Parade but the trip was postponed due to the ongoing pandemic.
