History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Farm (1965)[]
The City Center made their Parade debut in 1965 with a new float.
Designed and constructed by Manfred Bass and his team, the float's design featured a red barn with a black wagon on the front.
The float was retired after the 1966 Parade and disposed of sometime later.
Brigadoon (1967)[]
In 1967, the City Center sponsored a float based on the musical Brigadoon for that year's Parade.
Designed and constructed by Manfred Bass and his talented team, the float's design featured a miniature Scottish village with a medieval castle. Escorting the float were people dressed in classic Scottish clan kilts and vests.
The float was retired after that year's procession and disposed of sometime later.
