OfficeMax is an American office supplies retailer founded in 1988. It is now a subsidiary of Office Depot, Inc., which is headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. As of December 2012, OfficeMax operated 941 stores in 47 states, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Mexico. In 2012, net sales were $6.9 billion, down from $8.3 billion in 2008.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

OfficeMax made their first Parade appearance in the 2010 Parade, with a brand-new float titled "Elves Raise the Roof", and featured a whimsical, imaginative design where dancing elves will take over the rooftops of Victorian-era houses, partying after Santa has left for his Christmas Eve trip to celebrate a year's work while performing ElfYourself dances from Disco to Hip-Hop to Classic. The float would make two other appearances in 2011 and 2012, before retiring from the Parade.

To celebrate the company's inaugural Parade appearance, OfficeMax held a special text-to-win contest called the OfficeMax Thanksgiving Day Sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip for four to the Walt Disney World Resort or one of 100 OfficeMax $25 gift cards.
