In 2019, Ozuna broke the record as the biggest winner in a single year in the history of the Billboard Latin Music Awards. History with the Macy's Parade[]
Ozuna made his first Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade appearance in the 2019 Parade, appearing and performing aboard the "Parade Day Mischief" float, sponsored by Sour Patch Kids.
Prior to his performance, Ozuna spoke with the New York Post, expressing his excitement of participating, adding that he brought his wife and children from Puerto Rico to celebrate Thanksgiving with him in New York City. “That’s a dream, because I’ve seen it on TV for years," he said "And now I’m going to perform. That’s awesome! So, I’m going to bring the best energy.”
For his performance on NBC's telecast of the famed holiday spectacle, Ozuna performed a moving rendition of "Hasta Que Salga el Sol", which translates in English to "Until the Sun Rises". Ozuna's performance was complimented by mischievous Sour Patch Kids as they caused chaos on the float; catapulting into the air, climbing skyscrapers and rising in a hot air balloon.
