History with the Macy's Parade[]

Paula Abdul made her Parade debut at the 2022 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on the Big Turkey Spectacular float by Jennie-O. When her time came to shine on 34th Street, Abdul pulled off an intricate act as she tap-danced and sang to her breakthrough hit, "Straight Up" with a choreographed performance by the St. John's Dance Team.

This performance went viral after the parade, most notably when rapper Flavor Flav was shown as Abdul's "hype man" as he danced to the energetic performance in the audience.
