This article is about the float sponsored by the streaming service. For the float that debuted in 1961, see Peacock.

Peacock is a streaming service operated by the broadcasting company, NBCUniversal. Named after the NBC logo, Peacock delivers a world-class slate of exclusive Originals, on-demand libraries of hit TV shows, plus critically acclaimed films from the vaults of Universal Pictures, Focus Features, DreamWorks Animation, Illumination and Hollywood's biggest studios. In addition, Peacock taps into NBCUniversal's unmatched ability to deliver a broad range of compelling topical content across news, sports, late-night, Spanish-language and reality.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

Peacock made its Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade debut in the 2021 Parade, becoming the first-ever float based on a streaming service to appear in the lineup. Titled "Birds of a Feather Stream Together," the Peacock float features a multi-story peacock strutting proud with a wink and a wing flutter, decked out in metallic and color-shifting paint, sparkling glitter and paillettes. Surrounding the proud passerine are flashing lights, LED displays, a Mylar fringe skirt and a glitzy look that you can't not watch.

The Peacock float is also the third of its kind to feature a live video feed, following the WWF's Get R.E.A.L. float, and Cracker Jack's At the Ball Game float. With a camera perched on the Peacock and monitors on the tail end, spectators get a bird's eye view of the Parade.

Riding on the float for its debut was the cast of the streaming service's original series, Girls5eva—Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Paula Pell and Busy Philipps, who sang the series' theme song, "Famous 5eva." The following year, Adam Devine, Sara Hyland, and Flula Borg of Peacock's Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin appeared on the float, and performed a medley of Nena's "99 Luftballons" and a-ha's "Take on Me."

Peacock came back for the 2023 Macy's Parade.
