Rex Smith is an American actor and singer. Smith made his acting debut in the Broadway musical Grease in 1978. He is noted for his role as Jesse Mach in the 1985 television series Street Hawk; being the first actor to play the Marvel Comics superhero Daredevil in live action; and being a singer and stage actor.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
Smith made his first appearance at the 1980 Parade as he along with Linda Ronstadt, Kevin Kline, George Rose, and The Cast of The Pirates of Penzance performed a musical medley from the show while sailing the The Pirate Ship float.
He later joined the 1986 Parade on the brand new SeaWorld float titled "Undersea Fantasy" and he sang "Let's Share The Joy".
His latest appearance was during the 1998 Parade as he joined Rachel York, Douglas Sills, and the Cast of The Scarlet Pimpernel as they performed "Into The Fire" in front of Herald Square.
