Rita Ora (born 26 November 1990) is a British singer, songwriter and actress. Although she started her career in 2008, she wouldn't blow up until February 2012 when she was a featured artist on "Hot Right Now" by DJ Fresh, a song that reached number one in the UK. In August of 2012, she released Ora, a self-titled album that debuted number one in the UK. Two notable songs featured on the album were number-one singles "R.I.P." and "How We Do (Party)".
Ora's second studio album, titled Phoenix, was released in November of 2018. The lead single, "Your Song", a cover of the timeless Elton John hit, was one of three songs to reach the UK top ten, along with subsequent singles "Anywhere" and "Let You Love Me". The latter made Ora the first British female solo artist to have thirteen top ten songs in the United Kingdom.
History in the Parade[]
Rita Ora made her Macy's Parade appearance in the 92nd Annual Parade on the Fun House float by Krazy Glue, where she performed "Let You Love Me." Her performance went viral, when she was caught lip-synching. John Legend would defend her a few days later.
