Sabrina Carpenter is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She first gained recognition starring on the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World (2014–2017), and signed with the Disney-owned Hollywood Records. She released her debut single, "Can't Blame a Girl for Trying" in 2014, followed by four studio albums: Eyes Wide Open (2015), Evolution (2016), Singular: Act I (2018), and Singular: Act II (2019). The albums contained the singles "Alien", "Almost Love", and "Sue Me", which topped the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. Carpenter moved to Island Records in 2021 and released the standalone single "Skin", which became her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Her fifth album, Emails I Can't Send (2022), was supported by the TikTok viral single "Nonsense" and the Pop Airplay number one single "Feather". In 2024, she achieved wider commercial success with her sixth album Short n' Sweet which became her first album to debut atop the Billboard 200 and it spawned the #1 singles "Espresso" and "Please Please Please".

Sabrina Carpenter made her parade debut at the 2014 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Pirate's Booty's Treasure Hunt! float and sung "Middle of Starting Over".
She then returned to the 2017 Parade on Build-A-Bear's Discover Adventure! float and performed "Why".
